If you’re a stylish person then you probably read, enviously, about fashion shows taking place all over the world and wish you were there. Whilst it’s hard for most people to get invited to the same sort of exclusive fashion events as Kate Moss, that doesn’t mean you can’t visit some of the stylish cities you admire in magazines or photos on social media. Maybe it’s time for you to do some traveling of your own. Here are some of the most beautiful and stylish cities on the planet.

New York City

You should head down Fifth Avenue to see some of the world’s most iconic buildings. Simply wandering around this city is an experience in itself.

 East Village and Greenwich Village

are also beautiful places to visit if you’re keen on taking cute pictures for Instagram. You’ll find delicious bakeries, classic New York bars, coffee shops, and other wonderful little places in this area. New York really is one of the most stylish places on the planet. But there’s a lot of beauty to the city too. Central Park, in particular, is a stunning green haven situated in the heart of a manmade jungle. This natural paradise is just as picturesque as it appears in the movies.

Many cities in Italy are viewed as fashion capitals of the world, and Rome is definitely very high in the rankings. This isn’t just because of its luxury shopping options in the modern part of the city but because of the sheer beauty in the ancient parts of the city. Style is about finding the right setting as well as the right attire, and Rome is definitely the perfect setting for anybody who loves to wear fashionable clothing in a beautiful place. The iconic Spanish Steps are perfect for a photo shoot, and the Colosseum is an ancient architectural structure that still looks magnificent, to this day.

You should also head to the independent Vatican City state within the city of Rome. This stunning area is awe-inspiring to visit for yourself. You definitely need to visit some of the wonderful Vatican museums to be found in this area. They’re enlightening and enchanting. Rome is a city that offers a lot of substance beneath its beautiful aesthetic, and that’s what makes it such a special place to visit. Make sure you wander the streets of Rome to explore all the many wonderful places that weren’t even mentioned in this article. Simply admiring the contemporary and ancient architecture throughout the city is a wonderful experience.

The capital of France is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, so it’s no wonder that it’s also one of the most stylish cities on the planet. Paris is brimming with beautiful architecture, beautiful people, and quaint little bakeries and shops. Obviously, you need to start by visiting some of the most iconic landmarks in the city. The Eiffel Tower is an incredible structure to admire from the ground, but it’s even more incredible to experience the tower by actually going up it. If you’re looking for a fashionable photo shoot then the top of the Eiffel Tower is definitely the best place in the city to do it. You also need to visit the Arc de Triomphe because this is another stunning architectural masterpiece in the city.

Italy really does dominate the fashion scene, and the glitzy city of Milan is a world leader in this industry. It’s one of the best cities in the world to visit if you’re looking for luxury clothing stores that sell some of the finest designer pieces in the world. Even if most of the luxury shops are outside your budget, window-shopping in Milan is a breathtaking experience in itself. Of course, Milan is a place with a lot more to offer than high-end clothing stores. As you can see in the picture below (the Milan Cathedral), there’s a lot of stunning architecture on offer in the city. It’s truly a spectacular place to explore. Make sure you go for a night out in the Navigli District if you want to go to some fantastic bars and restaurants beside Milan’s historic canals. There’s nothing like a stunning aesthetic to go with delicious food and drinks.

Tokyo is certainly one of the most fascinating fashion and style capitals of the world because it’s just so unique. Its Kawaii culture has influenced style all over the world, and cosplay is a massive subculture in itself. Tokyo is particularly famous for its street style. It’s brimming with culture and style.

Whilst it might not often make the “top 5” when it comes to fashion capitals of the world, Barcelona is definitely climbing its way up the ranking. And there’s certainly a unique style to this wonderful city that you’ll appreciate if you travel there for yourself. The architecture, for starters, is one-of-a-kind. And that’s courtesy of Gaudi, one of the most innovative minds of his time. To this day, the Sagrada Familia is still under construction (nearly a century after Gaudi’s death). That really summarizes  the impact this creative mind has had on Barcelona. His style is immediately recognizable in nearly every street throughout the city. Of course, present-day architects are also helping to shape Barcelona’s modern image. It’s constantly evolving.
