Do you crave for better looking, more youthful skin? If so, you are in very good company. Lots of women - and men - have skin problems, and no matter what we all seem to do, there is always the chance of a breakout occurring, wrinkles appearing, or anything else happening that is the complete opposite of a healthy, glowing skin.
That said, there are lots of things we do to ourselves that actually cause our bad skin. And in fact, we could be contributing to our own skin problems in a multitude of ways. Let’s take a look at some simple tricks you can try today for better skin tomorrow.
Drink more water
Be honest - how much water do you drink? A lot of people only drink when they feel they need to, but by the time you feel thirsty it’s already too late - you’re dehydrated. The simple solution is to make sure you are drinking roughly 8 glasses of water a day, and that you grab a drink at regular times. It won’t take long for your skin to start showing the benefits of proper hydration.
Quit the smokes
More people than ever are giving up smoking and fewer people than ever are taking it up. This is fantastic news, but if you are still puffing away on a dozen cigs every day, it’s important to understand you are ruining your youthful looks - as well as your health. Try quitting nicotine altogether, or alternatively, make the switch to vaping. Companies like Juul offer a range of different flavors and strengths of e-liquid, so find one that’s suitable. Once you manage to give up cigarettes permanently, reduce the level of nicotine in the e-liquids every so often, until you kick the habit completely.
Regular steaming opens up the pores of your skin and lets you clean away dirt, dust and oil. If you want a simple, cheap, and effective way of getting rid of your blackheads and pimples, regular steaming is the way to do it! However, don’t overdo it - 2 to 3 minutes per session is all you need.
Believe it or not, rubbing a melting ice cube over your face for a couple of minutes can help your skin look more youthful and vibrant. Try it before applying your usual acne cream or face mask - it really helps you keep your skin in mint condition.
Sleep on it
Finally, get some sleep! Not only will you look - and feel - more refreshed after a good night’s shuteye, but you’ll also give your skin a chance to repair itself. The modern world inflicts a lot of damage on our skin, from pollutants in the atmosphere through to sun damage - and it’s vital that you allow your skin to recover. Aim to get around 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night - and do it regularly.
